a time to uproot

It's October 21st, the day I have long been anticipating. My flight out of Baltimore to San Francisco departs later tonight at 7:05pm, so my family and I are actually (almost) out the door as I write this.

Since I don't have too much time to write a full-fledged update, I just want to say, once again, how thankful I am for this opportunity, for the love being shown to me from friends, family, and even from those I haven't yet met in person, and for a God who continues to remind me how big He really is.

To be honest, I am stepping into this with - what I believe to be - the normal amount of anxiety and a significant amount of excitement. I would appreciate prayers for the long journey ahead, for safe travels, and for the Lord to calm any remaining traces of anxiety I'm currently feeling.
